Steps:


4x+1= 8x-15

=>subtract 4 on both sides with 8x


1=4x-15

=>now do add 15 both sides


16=4x

=>Now divide 4x both sides


(16)/(4) =(4x)/(4)


4=x

So 4 is the answer
