Answer:

To find the dilation of those points, you have to multiply the x and the y-coordinates of each point by the scale factor which is 4. This is because the figure is dilated around the origin. I am not able to see the points exactly but, I want to help guide you.

An example could be dilating the point(2,2).

To dilate it, we would multiply by the scale factor: (2*4,2*4). Then, the new point is (8,8).

Answer:

A': (-12,4)

B': (16,-12)

C': (8,12)

D': (-4,16)

Explanation:

You can start by finding all of the intial locations of the points:

A: (-3,1)

B: (4,-3)

C: (2,3)

D: (-1,4)

When you dilate this shape by a scale factor of 4 from the origin, each of these coordinates will be multiplied by 4. The new points would therefore be:

A': (-12,4)

B': (16,-12)

C': (8,12)

D': (-4,16)

Hope this helps!
