Answer:

The room is familiar to her, from the hallway she could hear a conversation that grew louder and louder, turning into a discussion. Her mother and older sister had never agreed, often one toward what bothered the other the most, only to take her up against her. The fights were common, but this time it was different.

Mary had a bad feeling, she was too young to understand where the other more abrupt and dry noise came from, which drilled without being able to completely appease the voices of the next room. She struggled to pay attention, but her bed was very high and she was afraid of falling, she wanted to imitate what was happening but she was very afraid. She couldn't help but burst into tears when she thought she saw a shadow, seized by nerves. She wanted her mother to go see her, to stop the noise.

She tried to calm down by taking her favorite toy, a rabbit her father had given her, plus the crying continued so hard that it became inevitable that the two women paused their quarrel.

Her mother approached her with a soft gesture, although a little grumpy. She indicated to her daughter to open the door, that someone had been calling for a while.

Little Mary calmed down when she saw her father enter, tired and confused by the commotion.

"Out there is a disaster, but here it is much worse. We communicate with screams"

Her daughter laughed "No, we are a normal family with stress problems"

"And the only solution is to scream like Mary already does"

Mary did not hear or understand, because she was already asleep in her mother's arms, finally in silence.
