A right cylinder has a diameter of 30mm and a height of 40mm. what is the volume of the cylinder?

Explanation:

First find the circle area on the top.

r=30/2

r=15

area of circle pi*r^2

pi*15^2=706.86mm^2

then multiply by height

706.86*40=28274.4mm^3

Solution,

Diameter=30 mm

Radius=30/2=15 mm

height=40mm

Now,

Volume of cylinder= pi *(r)^2*h

=3.14*(15)^2*(40)

=3.14*225*40

=28260 mm^3
