I think y is 2 as well as 3

Answer:

y = 2x or x = 1/2y or if you would like numerical values then x = 3, y = 6 and z=4

Explanation:

x : y = 1 : 2

y : z = 3 : 2

If x : y = 1 : 2 then we know that 1y = 2x ∴ y = 2x or x = 1/2y

If y : z = 3 : 2 then we know that 3z = 2y ∴ z = 2/3y
