the area of 1 rectangle is more complicated:
you would have to work out the rectangles height, which is the hypotenuse of the triangle. so you use Pythagoras, and you get 1 (if you don't know how to do this search up Pythagoras theorem)
so now you can get the area of the rectangle: 1*2 = 2
3 rectangles : 2*3 = 6
2 triangles : 0.5 * 2 = 1
6+1 = 7
tbh I'm not sure if you need to do all of this since it does say "estimate" but I'm not sure how you would estimate it.
