*PLEASE HELP* Tanner has 24 more songs on his mp3 player than Amelia. Together they have 144 songs. Write a system of equations to represent this situation.

The first thing to do here is to find a variable that we can use to represent the the number of songs that Tanner has on his mp3 player

Since we do not know this, we can say it is T songs

What else do we know?

We know quite well that she has 24 more songs than Amelia

Thus, the number of songs Amelia will have would be T-24

Now adding both together gives 144 songs

Hence;

T + T-24 = 144

2T-24 = 144
