Each brother has 2 kids.
In total,
knowing what you know know,
how many people went to the movies??....

It says that a couple (meaning two people) went to the movies.
Then it gives further unneeded info about how many people they are related to.

It never says that those other mentioned people other than the couple went with them to the movies.

It only says the couple went to the movies.

It’s not so much a trick question but you have to just look closely to the given details.
