I need help asap please Today, giraffes have long necks that allow them to eat leaves high in trees. They got longer necks by stretching up for even higher leaves. After many generations, the giraffe’s neck was really long.

Do you think the student’s explanation for how the giraffe’s neck became long is correct? Yes or No and explain in at least four sentences.
All responses must include scientific vocabulary learned in this investigation: variation, traits, mutation, DNA, Adaptation, natural selection, or speciation. Your response must identify if you agree or disagree with the student and why. You must use at least 4 scientific terms. (this is science btw)

In my opinion giraffes have a longer neck when they reach for food because they’re reaching for something with their head/neck

I disagree because this is because of natural selection. The giraffe with longer necks would be able to get food meaning that giraffe who don’t have longer necks won’t be able to survive to get food. The longer neck giraffe are adapted to getting food. This is called adaptation. As time goes by giraffe with long neck reproduce and that means that their traits will be passed down.

Hope this helped :))))))
