Answer:

in the beginning the kinetic energy is at a maximum level because the starting velocity is high comparatively.. and because of the gravitational acceleration acting on the ball in the opposite direction the kinetic energy drops proportionally because of the velocity drop. after the ball reaches it's maximum height the potential energy of the ball is high because of the height.. and again the kinetic energy starts to build because the ball again starts to fall down..
