Substitute the corresponding side lengths.


(2)/(2.8) =
(x)/(8.1)

Cross Multiply.

16.2 = 2.8x

Divide each side by 2.8.


(16.2)/(2.8) =
(2.8x)/(2.8)

Since 2.8 cancels out 2.8x, your left with x.

Then divide 16.2 by 2.8.
