A recipe for brownies calls for 4 eggs and 1 cups of flour. If the recipe makes 15 brownies, how
many cups of flour will be needed to make 130 brownies?

Explanation:

Simply here we use the criss-cross method, so

15 brownies - > 1 cups of flour

130 brownies - > Xcups of flour (x means unknown number)

So 15 X = 130 (1)

x = (130)/(15)

X= 8.7 cups of flour ( but we can't divide the last cup into 2 pieces ^_^ so we write instead of 8.6 we write we need 9 cups of flour. Hope i helped u.

Answer:

8.67

Explanation:

you need 1 cup per 15 brownies

130/15 is 8.67 or 8 2/3

therefore you need 8.67 times more cups of flour

1 X 8.67 is 8.67 so you would need 8.67 cups of flour
