Answer:

P = 39.7 units, A = 42.5 units²

Explanation:

I'm assuming its a right triangle so to find the hypotenuse, use pythagorean theorem. 5²+17²=x²

x=17.7, so the perimeter is 5 + 17 + 17.7 = 39.7

and the area is 1/2(5)(17) = 42.5

Answer:

Pytagora's Theorem

Explanation:

a = 5 cm

b = 17 cm

c = ?

a^2 + b^2 = c^2

√ a^2 + b^2 = c

√ 25 + 289 = c

√ 314 = 17.72 cm

c = 17.72 cm

Perimeter = 17.72 + 5+ 17 = 39.72 cm

Area = b * h all /2

so A = 17 * 5 /2

A = 85/2 -> 42,5 cm^2

Hope I was helpful :)
