Between 6 a.m. and 10 a.m. the temperature rose by 5°F. Between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. the temperature rose by 6°F. Between 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. the temperature rose by 0°C. Would you be able to tell how much the temperature rose since 6 a.m.? Why or why not?

Answer:

So the total increase is 15C

Explanation:

Yes, we can able to know the temperature difference from 6 AM to 6 PM.

We need to convert all the temperature into one unit.

6 AM - 10 AM ---> 5 F = -15 C

10 AM - 2 PM ---> 6 F = -14.44 C

2 PM - 6 PM ---> 0 C.

So the total increase is 15C

hope this helped :)
