Answer:

y-intercept = 4

Explanation:

We can use the slope-intercept formula y = mx + b to find b, the y-intercept.

First we need to find the slope by using the formula
m=(y_(2)-y_(1) )/(x_(2)-x_(1) )

In this case, our (x₁, y₁) = (3, 4) and our (x₂, y₂) = (6,4)

Plugging these numbers into our slope formula gives us
m=(4-4)/(6-3) =(0)/(2) =0

So we have a slope of zero and now we can plug in one set of points into our slope-intercept formula to solve for b

We can choose either of the two points to use for x and y, I will choose to use (3, 4): 4 = 0(3) + b → 4 = 0 + b → 4 = b

Answer:

line (3,4) intercepts at 3y

line (6,4) intercepts at 6y

or both the points are at 4y
