Answer:

Explanation:

There are many methods but I give you the factorisation:

4x^(2) +7x+6= 4x^(2) + 8x - x - 2 +8= (4x^(2) + 8x )- (x + 2) +8\\= 4x(x+2)-(x+2) -8\\=(x+2)(4x-1) +8

So

(4x^(2) +7x+6)/(x+2)=((x+2)(4x-1)+8)/(x+2) =((x+2)(4x-1))/(x+2)+(8)/(x+2)\\ \\=4x-1 +(8)/(x+2)

That means the quotient is 4x-1 and the remainder is 8.
