32. Mr. Fernández packed 31 red apples and 41 green apples into a box for a customer. He

packed 8 boxes like this. Mr. Fernández used this equation to find x, the number of apples
he packed into all the boxes.
x = (31 + 41)8
How many apples did Mr. Fernández pack into the boxes?

B. 568

You do the parenthesis first, 31+41.
That will equal 72.
Then you multiply by the number outside, 8
8 • 72 = 576.

It just follows the rules of PEMDAS

Multiplication/Division (these two can be switched around)
Addition/Subtraction (these two can be switched around)
