Both Documents have a preamble, an article, and amendments. Both also start with, "we the people", in the preamble, and are interpreted as living documents that can be changed over time. However the U.S. constitution is shorter than Florida's, the U.S. contains a supremacy clause-- along with having 7 articles in contrast to Florida's thirty.

(Florida also has a section addressing public education, modern day issues in accord with elections, with the inclusion of situations that effect residents in modern times.)
