First we are going to wanna find a common denominator for the two fractions.

2/3 & 1/4 have a common denominator of 12!

Now we change the denominators to 12 but then multiply what we did to the denominator to the numerator.

2/3 is now 8/12, 1/4 is now 3/12.

8/12 + 3/12 = 11/12, 12/12-11/12= 1/12

1/12 is already at its simplest form so no need to do anything else!
