A store regularly sold 2 cans of soup for $1.28. It advertised a special sale of 6 cans for $3.12. A customer bought 12 cans at the sale. How much did the customer save over the regular price?

Answer:$1.44

Explanation:

on normal sales

2 cans cost $1.28

12 cans would cost=(12x1.28)/2

12 cans would cost=15.36/2

12 cans would cost=7.68 on normal sales

Special sales :

6 cans is sold for 3.12

12 cans would be sold for (3.12+3.12)

12 cans would be sold for 6.24

Customer savings=7.68-6.24

Customer savings=1.44
