y=10x+50

y=5x+90

They are both equal to each to y, so they are equal to each other.

10x+50=5x+90

Now, you want to get the variable on one side, so you subtract 50 from both sides, then 5x from both sides;leaving you with:

5x=40

Divide by 5 on both sides

x=8

Now, that you have x, plug it into any equation of y. For example...

y=10(8)+50

y=80+50

y=130
