Answer:

Khrushchev Era- Publicly condemned Stalin and his policies of overseeing violence and oppression against the people of Russia. Loosened government restrictions on literary and art works. Place more emphasis on producing consumer goods, but ended up hurting the Soviet economy as a result of this emphasis on agricultural input

Brezhnev Era- Dominant leader of Soviet Union during the 1970's, and was determined to keep Eastern Europe communist and did not settle on reforms like Khrushchev did. Did benefit from a period of detente with the United States, allowing western ideas and customs to become more relaxed in the country. But quickly would move against dissidents who spoke out against the country

Brezhnev was adept at politics within the Soviet power structure. He was a team player and never acted rashly or hastily; unlike Khrushchev, he did not make decisions without substantial consultation from his colleagues, and was always willing to hear their opinions.Khrushchev's party colleagues removed him from power in 1964, replacing him with Leonid Brezhnev as First Secretary and Alexei Kosygin as Premier. ... On 5 March 1953, Stalin's death triggered a power struggle in which Khrushchev emerged victorious upon consolidating his authority as First Secretary.
