Says, providing for honest things not only in the sight of the lord but also in the sight of man
how does this verse apply to cheating?

Answer: This verse means that you should be honest and truthful with everyone around you, especially the Lord. This even applies to when you are taking someone else's work and using it for anything: a composition, paper, or project. Be sincere and explain that the information was obtained from a source (book, website, etc.) or a specific person and not just from your own head. This verse also tells you that God is ALWAYS watching your every move, and cheating or plagiarizing is unacceptable according to His Word.
