Answer: x = √73

Step-by-step explanation: Ration = (x+8) : (x+6)

Let x be the length and breadth

Length = (x+8)x

breadth = (x+6)x

Area = 160 feet sq.

= (x+8)x = x² + 8x = length

(x+6)x = x²+6x = breadth

→x²+8x+x²+6x = 160

2x²+14 = 160

2x² = 146

x² = 73

x= √73

Answer:

Area = length x width

160 = (x+8)(x+6)

160 = x2 + 14x + 48

x2 + 14x - 112 = 0 and solve with the quadratic formula and get x=-7+sqrt(161)
