Answer:

15 napkins

Explanation:

Let n be the no. of napkins

1.50n = 2.50 + 20

1.50n = 22.50

n = 22.50/1.50

n = 15

Answer:

She bought 15 napkins

Explanation:

First find the price before coupon

1.5 * n where n is the number of napkins

Then subtract the coupon

1.5n - 20

This is the price she paid before tax

1.5n -20 = 2.5

Solving for n

Add 20 to each side

1.5n -20+20 = 2.5+20

1.5 n= 22.50

Divide each side by 1.5

1.5n/1.5 = 22.5/1.5

n =15

She bought 15 napkins
