Two angles are supplementary angles if the sum of their measures is 180degrees. Find the measures of two supplementary angles if the measure of one angle is 4 degrees less than three times the other.

angle 1=46

angle 2= 134

Explanation:

So we know that angle 1 + angle 2 is 180

angle 1= x

angle 2= 3x-4

x+3x-4=180

4x-4=180

4x=184

x=46

You substitute the x value that you have into 3x-4

3(46)-4

You then get 134 for the value of the second angle
