Answer:

The length of the base edge is 3 cm

Explanation:

Volume of square pyramid =
(1)/(3)BH

Where B = area of square base

H = Height

Let the length of base edge be x

Area of base =
Side^2 = x^2

Height of pyramid = 5 cm

So,Volume of square pyramid =
(1)/(3)BH=(1)/(3) * x^2 * 5

We are given that The volume of a square pyramid is 15 cubic centimeters.

So,
(1)/(3) * x^2 * 5=15

x^2 = (15 * 3)/(5)

x=\sqrt[2]{(15 * 3)/(5)}

x=3

Hence the length of the base edge is 3 cm
