1. Rev. Kaizer dares his son to do
goodness, meaning to go back
to the Bataky's house and
listen to Mr. Batakv share his
sinful life.
2. Matt will continue to make
better choices in his life. He
does not view "being bad" as a
popular action. He is
beginning to accept who he
really is and will continue to
help others, rather than make
fun of their pain.
3. The main conflict in the story is
person versus self. The main
character, Matt, is struggling
with his identity of being good
since he is the minister's son.
He is also struggling with
aiding a dying man by listening
to his confessions, forcing him
to evaluate his life. Mr. Bataky is also suffering an
internal conflict. He is dying
and does not want to leave
earth without the forgiveness
of his sins he had committed
throughout his youth. He thinks
Matt is an angel sent from
heaven and shares his sins with
him.
4. There is goodness in everyone.
