Answer:

Move the negative sign to the left.

-x+6/2=-1

Multiply both sides by 2

-x-6=-1 x 2

simplify 1 x 2 to 2

-x-6=-2

add 6 to both sides

-x=-2+6

simplidy -2+6 to 4

-x=4

multiply both sides by -1

x=-4
