Answer:

The invasion of the Dorian people in the southern parts of the Balkan Peninsula had huge effects on the civilizations living in what is now Greece.

Step-by-step explanation:

The Dorian people were an aggressive people and outnumbered the already existing civilizations in the area, so they manage to conquer the region relatively easy. The civilizations that existed prior to this invasion stopped existing, at least officially, but they left a big mark. The Dorian people adopted lot of things from the civilizations they encountered, especially cultural things, but they mixed them with their own culture, and eventually created another culture, later known as Hellenic culture. The Dorian people developed on the basis of what the civilizations of the region had already had, and gradually became one of the most influential civilizations, while the older civilizations of the region got assimilated, got no credit for their influence, and were mostly neglected in the history.

hope this helped
