False. Expand the first equation to get 2X plus 6 equals 20.
Just multiply 2 by everything in the parentheses.
This is not the same as the other equation.
X in the first problem equals 14/2 or 7
And 17/2 in the other equation.
So false.

Answer:

False

Explanation:

Because when you distribute 2(x+3)=20 turns to 2x+6=20 and 2x+6≠2x+3
