Do you need help?

This is easy so please don't panic.

What the number π (pi) that everybody's talking about is, is the ratio of the length of a circle's circumference C to its diameter d.

It's true for every circle; they're all similar, in the geometric sense.

The formula is

C = π × d

If we have the diameter we multiply by pi and get the circumference.

In this problem we're given the circumference and want the diameter. So we divide by pi instead of multiplying. Solving for d,

d = C / π

Here C=102.6 feet and we approximate π=3.14

d = 102.6/3.14 = 32.67515...

Answer: 32.7 feet
