Since you know the value of s, you can substitute/plug it into the equation to find A:

A = 18s² Plug in 1/3 into "s" since s = 1/3

A=18((1)/(3) )^2 Find (1/3)²

A =18((1)/(3) )^2=18((1)/(3)*(1)/(3) )= 18((1)/(9))

A = 2 square inches
