Answer:

6

Explanation:

1. 4+2x=16

2. 4- 4+2x=16 -4

3. 2x=12

4. 2\ 2x=12 /2

5. x=6

16 is the total and you add the group of 4 and the two groups with x amount. then subtract 4 from 4 and 16, and you get 2x=12. Then divide 2 from 2x and 12, ( you are dividing 2 from 2x in order to have x alone). Then in the end you get x=6. Hope this helped<3

Answer:

6

Explanation:

One of the groups had 4, so subtract that from the 16 total and it leaves 12. Then the 12 are split into 2 groups so they each have 6.
