Is 8, 10, 12 a Pythagorean Triples ?

Answer:

No, they are not

Explanation:

If you simplify all 3 numbers, you get 4, 5, 6

If you graph the triangle on graph paper, it wouldn't work and there would be a gap.

3, 4, 5 triangles do work though!

You use the formula a^2 + b^2= c^2. The biggest number is c.

So 8 ^2 + 10^2 has to equal 12^ 2

64 + 100= 144

164=144

That is not true.
