Impaired phagocytosis can lead to several disorders. This activity asks you to think specifically about the process through which phagocytes kill and digest microbes and to identify steps of the process that might be compromised and interfere with this killing activity.

Answer:

There are five steps of phagocytes such as Chemotaxis, Adherence, Ingestion, Digestion and Elimination

Step-by-step explanation:

Phagocytes are those organisms which feed on microorganisms.

Chemotaxis refers to the movement of organisms such as body cells and single celled organisms in response to chemicals that is present in the environment.

Adherence refers to the attachment of phagocytes with the microbes which enters in our body . here phagocytes are the white blood cells.

Ingestion is eating of the microbes by the white blood cells in order to kill it.

Digestion refers to the break down of microbes in the body of white blood cells.

Elimination refers to the removal of remaining parts of the microbes from the body of phagocytes.
