to solve this, remember the acronym PEMDAS

parenthesis, exponents, multiplication, division, addition, subtraction

start by doing (6-3), which is 3

now the equation is 3^2+12 / 3 x 8

then do 3^2, which is 9

9+12 / 3 x 8

now do 3 x 8, which is 24

9+12 / 24

divide 12 and 24, which is one half

9 + 1/2

add this to get 9.5

hope this helped!!

Answer:

38 is your answer :)

Explanation:

So what you want to do is P.E.M.D.A.S (parenthesis, exponets, multiplication/division, addition/subtraction) * whatever comes first always do it in order*

3^2+12/ (6-3) x 8

6-3 = 3

3^2+12/(3)*8

3^2+4*8

6+4*8 =32 and 32+6 = 38
