The first four terms of an arithmetic sequence are 7, 14, 21, 28... Calculate the sum of the first 50 terms.

Explanation:

a = 7

d = 14-7 = 7

s(50) = n/2*[a+(n-1)*d]

= 50/2*[7+(50-1)*7]

= 8750
