Answer: Americas involvement in the Vietnam was caused a lot of division among the American people. There were many lives lost during the Vietnam war that lead to loosing the trust the american people had in the government and in their actions.

I think this connects to the foreign policy because it gave them new ideas for change. The realization of death became real. Which the American people did not like.

For the future foreign policy's they would have to keep in mind what is best for the people and saving lives rather than loosing them.The foreign policy after the war was changed as they realization came that American lives are not to throw into a war to be lost.
