We have, a sphere and a cylinder have the same radius and height. The volume of the cylinder,
V_C=48\ cm^3

The volume of sphere is :
V_S=(4)/(3)\pi r^3 .....(1)

The volume of cylinder is :
V_C=\pi r^2h ....(2)

Dividing equation (1) and (2), such that,


(V_S)/(V_C)=(4\pi r^3)/(3\pi r^2h)

As r = h


(V_S)/(V_C)=(4)/(3)\\\\V_S=(4V_C)/(3)\\\\V_S=(4)/(3)* 48\\\\V_S=64\ cm^3

So, the volume of sphere
64\ cm^3. therefore, the correct option is (A).
