2x+3≥7 OR 2x+9>11

Solve each one separately

2x+3≥7

Subtract 3 from each side

2x+3-3≥7-3

2x ≥ 4

Divide each side by 2

2x/2≥ 4/2

x≥ 2

2x+9>11

Subtract 9 from each side

2x+9-9>11-9

2x > 2

Divide by 2

2x/2>2/2

x>1

Put them back together

x>1 or x≥ 2

Since the x>1 is less restrictive and we are using or, we use that as our answer
