Explanation:


2k(-3k + 4) + 6(k^2 + 10) =k(4k + 8) - 2k(2k + 5)

Expand brackets:


-6k^2+8k+6k^2+60=4k^2+8-4k^2-10k

simplify:


8k+60=8-10k

Collect terms:


18k=-52\\

Rearrange for k:


k=(-52)/(18)
