Given:

In ΔABC, ∠C = 90°, ∠A = 50° and AB = 3 unit.

To find the value of BC.

Formula:

By Trigonometric Ratio we get,


sin \ \theta=(opposite)/(Hypotenuse)

Now,

With respect to θ = 50°, AB is the hypotenuse and AB is the opposite side.

So,


sin \ 50^(\circ)=(BC)/(AB)


sin \ 50^(\circ)=(BC)/(3)


BC = 3 * sin 50^(\circ)


BC = 2.298 = 2.3 (approx)

Hence,

The value of BC is 2.3 units.
