  3. Subtract the big square with the four right-angled triangles to find the area of the smaller square with sides 'c'.
  4. Lastly, square root (√) the value to find c. Because c²=area of smaller square.

Big square area:


(3 + 6) * (3 + 6) = 81

All four right-angled triangles area:


4( (1)/(2) * 3 * 6) = 36

Smaller square area:


81 - 36 = 45

Value of c:


{c}^(2) = 45 \\ c = √(45)
