-3x+9=-3(2x+3)+3(x-4)+1

-3x+9=-6x-9+3x-12+1

-3x+9=-3x-20

-3x+3x=-20-9

0x=-29

–3x + 9 = –3(2x + 3) + 3(x – 4) + 1

Use distributive property:

-3x + 9 = -6x -9 + 3x -12 + 1

Simplify by combining like terms:

-3x + 9 = -3x - 20

Subtract 9 from both sides:

-3x = -3x -29

Add 3x to both sides :

0 = -29

This is a false statement, so there are no solutions.
