Focus Question: How important of a role did the ideas from ancient Greek civilizations play in the development of the American political

process?

The Athens had a direct democracy. It gave us the idea of our own democracy. Athens had it that they landowning males would vote yes or no to laws. Since America has too many people for everyone to vote for the laws, we instead vote for representatives, who would vote for the laws. This is a indirect/representative democracy.
