x = 31
y = 31
x + y = 62
#5
m<2 = 29

Generally with intercepting angles like that, when they are all added together, they equal 360 degrees. One angle, 149, was given to you. Directly opposite from 149 degrees should also be 149 because of some rule I vagualy remember. 149 + 149 = 298. Which leaves 62 degrees to complete it. Divide that by two and you get 31. So the remaining angle is 31 each. Now that you have 31 for x, the next angle above the parrelel line is also 31 becuase of some rule again. If that angle is 31 the angle opposite (y) has to be 31. A line is 180 degrees so another way to check would be to add 149 + 31 together. (Which equals 180).

That says Line AD and CD are parallel. So if angle 6 is 151 then angle 1 also has to be 151. 180 (degree of a line) - 151 = 29. When you do all the adition it should equal 360.
Hope the helps! Might be a bit confusing. Ps. I don't really know if 4 is asking for 31 or 62. Use your own judgement on that I guess.
