Surface area of a Cylinder formula is

2πr^2+2πrh

with this you use the information you already have and insert it but first you need a radius instead of a diameter so divide your diameter in half to get the radius...

Diameter:8 / 2= 4

radius is 4

Then knowing the height doesn't need to be changed you can follow through with the formula.
