Answer:

552.92

Explanation:

Surface area of a Cylinder formula is

2πr^2+2πrh

with this you use the information you already have and insert it but first you need a radius instead of a diameter so divide your diameter in half to get the radius...

Diameter:8 / 2= 4

radius is 4

Then knowing the height doesn't need to be changed you can follow through with the formula.

2\pi 4^(2) +2\pi 4*18

Answer:

552.64

Explanation:

Surface area formula for cylinder is 2πr² + 2πrh

r = d/2 so the radius is 4 and h is 18

we plug it in:

2*3.14*(4)² + 2*3.14*4*18 = 552.64
