What is the solution to logs (10x-1)= logs(9x + 7)?

Answer:

x=8

Explanation:

log (10x-1)= log(9x + 7)

Since both logs are to the same base, the insides must be the same

10x-1 = 9x+7

Subtract 9x from each side

10x -9x-1 = 9x-9x+7

x-1 = 7

Add 1 to each side

x-1+1=7+1

x=8
